Recently, the teachers and students of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) in Xiamen University (XMU) successfully completed the internship work in the field, and took hundreds of precious specimens on the return journey.
This is the seventh year that EcoGano and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) in Xiamen University (XMU) jointly organized an internship in the field. Since 2012, R&D center of EcoGano and teachers and students of Xiamen University have collected more than 1,000 kinds of medicines, then built a complete Wuyishan medicinal resources library.
During the one-week drug-seeking internship, the teachers and students suffered from the scorching sun. They walked between the dense forests of Da’anyuan, Xiaowuyi and Lianhuafeng, they tasted herbs, distinguished the medicinal properties and made specimens, with the joy of collecting medicine.
In order to let teachers and students know more about the close relationship between Wuyi health culture and herbal medicines, Chairman of EcoGano Group, Mr. Mao Jinghua, National Non-genetic Underwriter of Wuyishan Dahongpao, Mr. Wang Shunming, and Professor of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Chen Tiqiang, started classes to explain in detail about the application and value of Wuyi characteristic species such as Ganoderma lucidum, black tea and other herbs in the field of medicine.
